Fun Day Schedule

Final preparations are underway for The Shane Mulholland Foundation Fun Day at the Millennium Centre, Loughgiel on Friday.

Entry to the Fun Day and all activities are provided completely free of charge with the event opening at 4pm. We hope to see a big turn out this year with plenty of activities for all ages. The Under 12 Hurling and Camogie blitz will be running alongside the Fun Day on both pitches at 6.30pm. We have burgers, hot dogs, tea and coffee on offer as always so come along any time after four to enjoy an evening with friends and family.

Tractor Run 🚜

Hopefully the tractors, cars and bikes are all polished up and ready for the run round the millennium path. We'll have gift bags for all the children taking part so make sure the wheels are oiled and ready to go!

Fancy Dress Parade 👸

We're looking forward to seeing some fancy costumes, all the kids taking part will receive a small prize and free face painting from Nicola.

New activities this year 🏁🏁🏁

EVO Simulator truck - this is a six player activity where participants race against each other in F1 or rally cars. This is suitable for all ages from primary school to adult so no doubt we'll see some of the teenagers teaching the adults a lesson over the course of the evening!

U12 Blitz 🏆

The under 12 blitz will be taking place at both pitches from 6.30 pm with the trophy presentations taking place immediately afterwards. As always the players and families from all visiting teams are invited to join us at the Millennium Centre before and after the blitz.

Tug of War 💪

Some of the local heavyweights will be battling it out to be crowned 2019 Tug of War champions. With four teams already signed up for the first year of the competition it should provide plenty of craic to round off the day. If anyone else wants to take part you can sign up on the day (six people per team).

Finally, we have a Plan B for bad weather! 🌂🙏

The forecast for Friday gives a couple of "passing showers" in the early afternoon but we're hopeful that this won't cause any problems. However, if the weather doesn't go in our favour it won't spoil the day, the Funday will be going ahead with most of the inflatable activities moved into the Millennium Centre Hall.
