Congratulations to O'Donovan Rossa Under 14's who put on a great display of hurling to win the Shane Mulholland Memorial Tournament hosted by Loughgiel Shamrocks on Saturday 19th August. The 2017 Antrim Feile Champions were unbeaten throughout the day and lifted the Cup after defeating Antrim rivals Ruairi Og Cushendall in a keenly contested final at Fr Barrett pitch.
The Foundation are very proud to be associated with this annual event and to have the tournament renamed in Shane's memory. We are thankful to the Committee of Loughgiel Shamrocks and especially to Francis Trainor and Enda McGarry who put a lot of work into organising the tournament and to Chairman John Campbell for his kind words during the presentation.
Thanks to all the mentors and players from all the visiting teams Ruairi Og Cushendall, O'Donavan Rossa Belfast, Robert Emmets Slaughneil, McQuillans Ballycastle, Dunloy Cuchullians and Oisins Glenariff and to the referees and umpires who officiated the matches. We hope to see you all back in 2018.
Last but definitely not least, we want to thank everyone who helped out behind the scenes in the Club rooms and Shop during the day and to all who provided food for the players and visitors. There are far too many volunteers to name but we really appreciate your hard work in making the event such a success.
