We recently had the pleasure of meeting up with Geraldine McGarrigle, Goalkeeper with the Ulster Wheelchair Hurling Team. The Team were founded in 2013 and have enjoyed great success over the last three years winning both the Inter-Provincial and All-Ireland Titles.
With Geraldine's help we were very pleased to be able to support the Ulster GAA Wheelchair Hurling initiative providing new hurls for the team prior to their trip to Carlow to compete in Round 3 of this year's Inter-Provincial league.
The team are on the look out for fresh talent so we would encourage all our suppporters and friends to help raise awareness of the initiative and promote the message that GAA is for everyone.
Ulster GAA organise various Give it a Go Events at schools and Clubs throughout the year. If you or someone you know would be interested in trying out the sport further information can be obtained by contacting Disability Sport NI or the Ulster GAA...
