Shane Mulholland Foundation Family Fun Day

September 30, 2017

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Our very first funday event will begin with an Under-12 Hurling and Camogie Blitz organised by Loughgiel Shamrocks GAC. We hope the tournament will attract teams from all clubs in the North Antrim area. All Children and Adults attending or playing in the Blitz will receive a free entry pass to the Fun Day event at The Millennium Centre. There will be a small entrance fee for those attending the Fun Day who have not attended the Blitz Tournament with free entry for all children under 5.

Our aim is to make this a fun day where our local families can come together both on and off the field of play to enjoy the wide range of activities provided on the day, some, but not all of these are detailed on the poster. The vast majority of the activities will also be provided free with heavily subsidized charging for some of the more expensive activities and competitions.

For the local GAA Community the chief attraction on the day will be the attendance of a high profile player. At this stage we are unable to confirm the identity of the special guest but should be in a position to release details soon. Children from participating teams will have a good opportunity to spend time with the guest, to have pictures taken, items signed etc.

We are also planning to hold a special guest breakfast in the Millennium Centre, attendance at this will be limited in numbers to around 50 guests to include all our main sponsors and volunteers.

In a separate initiative the Foundation also plan to offer subsidised first-aid courses to those working with children in our local schools and clubs. Registration for these courses will be opened at the event, we feel that this is very worthwhile initiative which will benefit the families attending and the wider community as a whole.
